Horseback Riding Tour in Salisbury Plain

Experienced and beginners horse riding tour

Up to 4 people enjoy a 3-hour horse back safari around Salisbury Plain. Taking in the beautiful countryside by horseback is a wonderful experience not to be missed. This tour is suitable for riders under 14 years old who can as a minimum walk and trot on a horse unassisted.

We aim our tours at experienced riders as we believe this gives everyone the best experience. Experienced riders must be able to walk trot and canter unaided and have ridden in the last 12 months, all riders must be under 12 stone.

We are able to provide tours for beginners or those who have not ridden in a while but we charge a premium for these as we add extra staff to ensure your safety. Contact the office for more information.

Currently, our tours operate on alternate Saturdays. The experience starts at 09:30 with a safety brief and a grooming session to get to know your horse before heading to our outdoor arena for a warm-up lesson with one of our instructors. then its a cup of tea and a biscuit before heading off for your adventure. A typical safari lasts 2 hours and is over open country and trails so can be quite fast. we think its amazing.

Minimum Age: 14 years old
Maximum Weight: 12 stone / 75 kg / 168 lbs

What to Wear:

Ideally riding kit, so jodhpurs, riding boots, gloves, a comfortable top and waterproof outers. You can substitute this with leggings/tracksuit bottoms, wellies or boots with a heel. In winter months we recommend a scarf and something to cover your ears such as a buff. We supply riding hats and do not permit riders to bring their own for insurance reasons.
